Ask yourselves how powerful is a drip? Well a single drip is quite literally a “drop in the ocean”, but what about constant dripping?
Now we are talking serious impact; back in the 16th Century there is evidence that Chinese water torture, with its constant drip, drip, drip was so powerful it was literally driving people out of their mind.
Well fortunately this is the 21st Century, however parallels can be drawn with today’s media and news where we see the drip, drip effect that the constant streaming of bad news about the recession, crime and violence can have can have on people, it makes us believe there is nothing good out there, creating a tremendous imbalance in our perspective and since news generally tends to be fuelled by a real situation, many of us are prone to see the glass not just half empty but almost devoid of contents.
What if we turned that around though and the drip, drip was one of positivity, empowerment, self belief and motivation. Imagine how differently you would view life, imagine what you could achieve. Well this is exactly what the MOBIvation texts do is they drip feed you positive and inspiring daily messages that have proven to really change peoples lives around. After all we all know what happens if you leave a tap dripping, you end up with a flood, a flood of positivity.
Now it’s not just the texts – timing plays an important part here as well. The mind of an averagely intelligent
human being has over 50,000 thoughts a day and it’s the ones that we start and end the day on that have the greatest impact. Restauranters have known this for ages, it’s the items that are first and
last on the menu that generally outsell the others twice over. (Don’t be surprised to learn these are the ones with the highest mark up!) So an energising and encouraging text to greet you first
thing as you start the day, means its message stays with you. Initially this positive message stays with you in a very conscious, forefront of the mind, thought provoking way, then after 21 days of
receiving them (the magic number of day for changing a habit/behaviour) these positive and “go get ‘em” thoughts become part of your subconscious way of thinking too.
The mind operates on two levels; the left side is your conscious mind, it’s your conscious mind reading this article, the one deciding if you could use a bit more inspiration and motivation in your life right now. Our conscious mind is analytical questioning and information seeking. The right side is our powerful subconscious mind – this is the side that never questions, it just accepts everything it hears, sees, and experiences. It’s in the subconscious that patterns and habits are formed, some patterns can be detrimental whilst others allow us to achieve great success. It’s the subconscious that dictates how you behave and act, that literally creates your daily life. A subconscious which could easily become flooded with positivity and strength, just by reading an empowering text every morning.
Now for the record I do practise what I preach and I have been receiving Paul’s texts right from the launch of his concept, and despite having always understood why it’s changed my thought patterns I’m still blown away by the strength of the difference. It quite literally feels as though the flood gates have opened with regards to what can be achieved, and it all started with “a powerful drip”.
